Guest guest
Ive often tried to remember whether I got a flu-type thing anytime over the next month, but nope, I cant remember. I used to get serious passing viruses/whatever more than once a year, in addition to several mild colds per year, so it wouldnt have stuck in my mind. Guest guest
Dear Aren't you glad you weren't rolling around in the grass naked. I once picked off over 150 ticks after sitting on the grass in a tick area. My take on tick bites is that EM and eschars are not a constant feature, I had a tick embedded for over a week on the part of the shoulderblade that is almost impossible to scratch and impossible to see without 2 mirrors. As I was doing fieldwork 500 miles from nowhere I don't know whether I had an EM or not. If I think back to my childhood there may have been small eschars but none like yours. I suspect that there may be problems with co-infections and secondaries. Regards Windsor [infections] non-borrelial(?) tickbite site infection just posted this page which has a photo (click to enlarge) ofa spotted fever "eschar."http://www.tickalert.org.au/from the cancerweb dictionary: "eschar <dermatology> This is a dry scab that forms on skin that hasbeen burned or exposed to corrosive agents."I had a tickbite site infection like this in June 2000, about 3 yearsbefore I started getting sick, but after already having experiencedvery mild seasonally/generally-variable dysthymia since like whenever.
