Guest guest
I tried to refill my diflucan/fluconazole and my insurance will now only pay for 6 pills!!! (And everyone USED to say that I have the " best " insurance.) Sheesh, I think their new " plan " is to let all their patients die and save money on all those drugs they'll no longer be needing. :-( Fortunately, I found another bottle of fluconazole in my antibiotics drawer, so I'm good for another month, but I hate battling with my insurance company. Every time I, or my doctor, writes them, they claim they nevr received the letter or fax! All I know, is that my energy has returned in a big way, and the two consistent things I've started doing are the zithromax and the diflucan (in addition to benicar). Plus I throw in some other abx as the mood strikes me (or if I can feel pressure in my teeth). I'm not going to get overly optimistic. I've had this same thing happen when I took Cipro, and then again for several months after i.v. abx, just to relapse. But I'm going to appreciate it while it's here and try to get some of the health care appointments lined up that I usually don't have the energy for. , do you think the Lamisil is a substitute for the Diflucan or should be taken simultaneously? Maybe I can get around my insurance by alternating? But I don't want to lose ground by going off the diflucan and not have something equally effective at work. Is the lamisil expensive too? I can't afford more drugs out of pocket. I'm already spending $160 a month on the Benicar, which I don't want to go without, plus co-pays on the abx, hormones, etc. Isn't it " funny " how insurance only balks at paying for the expensive drugs? You can have boat loads of drugs like armour or tetracycline, which are dirt cheap. :-( penny > > > > > > Hi Rich , actually no my basic point was that the > > > environmental > > > > > factor in > > > > > > autism is the diminishing quality of our gut flora , due > to > > > over > > > > > use of > > > > > > broad spectrum abx'x & a high sugar diet ...Candida > > > overgrowth > > > > is > > > > > the key > > > > > > ....toxins generated by the overgrowth lead to the > > cascade > > > of > > > > > events, the > > > > > > end result is autism..that is if your 18 months or so > > when > > > you > > > > > contract > > > > > > yeast overgrowth ...As an adult you experience > appalling > > > > symptoms > > > > > that > > > > > > collectively could be described as reducing your > > existence > > > to > > > > that > > > > > of a > > > > > > zombie ...Many debate the existence of yeast > overgrowth > > as > > > a > > > > > defined illness > > > > > > ...I don't need to, ive experienced it ..for decades [now > > > > > cured]...The point > > > > > > is the medical profession do not recognise the > problem > > , > > > so a > > > > > vitally > > > > > > important factor in the health of millions is being > > > > > ignored ...You either > > > > > > accept that as a fact or you don't ..I put the augment > that > > the > > > > > facts are > > > > > > overwhelming Yeast is a major factor in the declining > > > health > > > > of > > > > > millions , > > > > > > talking chicken & egg ...its Candida first then the rest, > > > > > including the very > > > > > > important glutathione depletion ...Yes?.... do you see > > yeast > > > > as > > > > > per dr's > > > > > > Crook ,Truss, Cranton & testimonies from people like > > me > > > ...or do > > > > > you think > > > > > > they/we are mistaken ... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------- ----------- > > ---- > > > -- > > >
Guest guest
Penny, Diflucan is generic now & relatively inexpensive at Costco. About $44 for a month’s supply. I seriously doubt that any insurance company is going to pay for more diflucan a month than what yours is offering. THe reality of the health care situation today means that even the companies that used to offer the “best” insurance no longer do so. It would be a tough battle w/the insurance company anyway to appeal this. Guest guest
Penny , I think Lamisil can be a substitute or used simultaneously .I found that the synergistic effect of combining the two drugs was considerable ....thing is it's only licensed to treat skin & nails ..is is apowerful systemic a/f and will wok against fungi anywhere in the body but as I say its only licensed to treat skin & nail fungal infections .it .complicates things...it retails in Europe at about £42 for 28 tabs [250mg] I will say that as normal people with no underlying genetic or illness such as AIDS we can still function carrying a substantial fungal infection ...the depth of infection only becomes apparent when on treating you find that the amount of drugs required are quite substantial ....How you feel is the key ..you must get ahead of the infection ...its easy to under treat ...you must feel progress ...adjust the dose & choice of drugs to achieve that aim... -----Original Message-----From: infections [mailto:infections ]On Behalf Of penny Sent: 28 May 2005 15:52infections Subject: [infections] Re:...: Candida, antioxidants...DiflucanI tried to refill my diflucan/fluconazole and my insurance will now only pay for 6 pills!!!
