Please help!!!! Insurance crisis!!

I hope someone out there can help...

I can't believe the way the rules of COBRA/MEDICARE/SS DISABILITY are so

mixed up!

I've been out of work now for 18 months. I've had COBRA coverage ever since

(at our expense) which will end at the end of the month with Aetna/US

Healthcare. I applied as soon as I was eligible (6 months after I stopped

working) and was approved. I apparently will be eligible for Medicare after

18 months of SS Disability. However, since there was that 6 month waiting

period, I have 6 more months to go before I will be eligible.

SO WHAT AM I TO DO FOR THESE 6 MONTHS???

We applied through Aetna for an individual plan and was denied based on my

" medical history " . I suspect this would be the case with all the other

companies as well.

I take 16 meds daily and MUST have a prescription plan, as well. Being

denied by Aetna has really thrown me for a loop. Any suggestions? PLEASE???
