I know the rap on corticosteroid treatment is really bad, but I also remember this discussion coming up in the past, and learning that there are people out there who experienced not only remarkable short term relief from corticosteroids, but long term as well. It might be one of those kinds of things like chemo. Nobody likes it but it works in some cases. (You know, it's funny, but I told someone a while back that if I got cancer I wouldn't even want to do chemo for it at this point. I mean, I'm tired of being sick, of fighting illness. What's the point of getting rid of cancer, if I'm still going to be sick anyway? But then I told them that the ONLY reason I WOULD do chemo is if it had a shot at killing this infection!!!!) penny
