Guest guest
Hi Jelly As you know I had problems with understanding ISAC because I am thrombocytopenic, however my fibrinogen levels were high. When looking at my blood tests over the years it became clear that the higher the fibrinogen levels the lower the platelet numbers. Because I was thrombocytopenic it took time for Jelly to persuade me to take ISAC seriously in my case. I contacted Berg, gave him a brief medical history which included a PE, and he explained why the platelet numbers were low and why ISAc was obvious to him, this including two seperate anaphylaxic shock events during the coagulation cascade when the clots that caused the PE and in my pelvic area were being broken down with heavy duty clot busters. My reaction to finally breaking down this fibrin more recently fitted the description of septic shock, not something I would like to go through again, but at least it convinced me I was finally on the right track. After I recovered from this my platelet numbers went up a bit and my fibrinogen levels were proportionally lower. I was misDx with lupus in 1987, given prednisolone, what a disaster that turned out to be both long and short term. Since then both borrelia and chronic staph have been identified, my doctor has no doubt other pathogens are involved too. Cheers, Tansy > I just got my dad's lab results I had done about 4 months before he > died. Guest guest
Barb, they are part of the ISAC panel. The test components aren't something that anyone else can test for yet, or at least they weren't. Only Hemex does these tests, they developed them. Therre are 4 parts to the ISAC panel, not including the platelet count, everyone can do that. I don't think that Fragments 1 & 2 would be parts to an RBC. Probably have the info somwhere, but it isn't coming to me right this minute. Maybe Tansy knows. > > I just got my dad's lab results I had done about 4 months before he > > died.
