Guest guest Posted January 13, 2004 Report Share Posted January 13, 2004 It was a very sad shock to learn today (from a reporter on the Leicester Mercury newspaper) that our dear Fred Fletcher-Hyde died peacefully in a nursing home on 3rd January. Those of us who knew him will be aware what a tremendous loss is the passing of the 'grand old man of herbal medicine', to whom we all owe the survival of herbal medicine up to now. I hope that a suitable obituary is already in draft form for Herbal Thymes and the EJHM. Apparently a memorial service is to be held on Saturday. Fred leaves a widow, Marjorie, and I would like to pass to her, to and Arthur Hyde and the rest of the family, my personal deepest condolences. Cooke natural.therapy.clinic@...
