Guest guest
Liz, I've experienced the same thing. Marissa would be making such progress with the potty and then we'd go for another cast and be right back at the begining when we got back. I thought I was about finished with pull-ups once and had to go buy more. It was so much easier with her older sister because once she was close to getting it I just started putting under wear on her and she had a few accidents, but then she was all set. I couldn't really do that with Marissa because you can't have the cast getting soiled. She is finally potty trained though, just keep at it. Now she really hates it when she wakes up with a new cast and there is a diaper on her. She cries "I don't wear diapers". Good luck, she'll get there. Guest guest
Thanks for that insight. Keira was the one who requested to use the potty at around 16 months, just like Big Sista! She was fully trained at home and would run to the potty, now she just starts to pee and says, "Momma can't make it stop", so I assume it is this cast. Only 7 weeks to go.....Funny about waking up in a diaper, the last cast Keira insisted on using the toilet when she woke up. At SLC they won't take out the IV until you pee, I was begging her to use the diaper, but she refused and we had to take the IV pole, BP pole, and her in to use the bathroom! Thanks,LizSubject: re: potty trainingTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Friday, January 9, 2009, 6:02 PM Liz, I've experienced the same thing.
