Changemakers voting

I will definitely send an email to changemakers,

but the website says that the ISOP grant is in the prepare to vote

stage~ this means that we would only need to vote if ISOP is one of the

12 finalists. voting starts on May 13, 2009 (and lasts two weeks) so I

guess they should be deciding soon what 12 organizations are going to be

finalists. I will follow up tomorrow and see if I can get out of them

when the 12 finalists will be announced. If we are one of the 12

finalists, we will need/want everyone to vote. If we are a finalist,

maybe we can take nick and heidi's letter they originally came up with for

posting (it was exceptionally helpful, has link to the website) tweak it for

the directions for voting~ that seems to be the easiest..will post when I

make contact....

Prepare to Vote:

After the entry deadline, the competition judges deliberate and select

approximately 12 finalists. During this same time the Changemakers community

members continue the online review of entries, determing which ones have

merit--which ones they'll vote for.

Vote: When the finalists' names are posted

online, the Changemakers community votes for three winners who each receive

$5,000. The voting lasts two weeks.

Did we find out whether we needed to vote on May 13 for the grant on

Changemakers. I wanted to make sure I did not miss it and that we sent out an

email to others to vote for the ISOP grant. any new info on this front?
