Guest guest
Hi Jimd, Not sure if you're aware of Lida Mattman, the nobel-prize nominated microbiologist, who says that if you test properly it is now difficult to find blood that is not infected with Borrelia burgdorferi in the US. I think you are quite right that there are some whose immune systems function well enough to keep the bug populations down. This does not usually protect against neurological Lyme, I think, because the immune system is so weakly present in the CNS (a good thing, for the most part) This may be why we see explosions of neurological disorders like ADD, where there are not a lot of physical symptoms. I am only now learning about chlamydia, and how debilitating that infection can be when the immune system is unable to contain it. Thanks for asking a very smart question. > > Does anyone have the percent of people who have lyme in the US or the > best estimate. I have read several places that 50% of 30 year olds > and 80% of 60 year olds have chlamydial infections at least in the US. > I also believe that people with strong imune systems handle this > disease, and most do not even know they have it. Or had it and got > rid of it without doctors help. Any thoughts Jimd
