Guest guest
Well said Shellie and I will keep this post. Darrell question on training doctors After receiving a question regarding which new doctors have been trained, we felt it would be helpful to post the following information. The list of docs on the CAST Database was compiled by a parent and reflects the status current at that time. Anyone consulting this list should call the hospital and ask them whether or not they still provide Early Treatment with EDF (elongation, de-rotation, flexion) serial plaster casting with the appropriate pediatric size frame. The same would apply if parents are contacting a hospital they hope to one day see providing Early Treatment. Attending a training session does not guarantee that the hospital will begin an Early Treatment program. There is much involved, especially the acquisition of a proper frame. Parents can be very influential in showing the hospitals that there is a patient base for this treatment and that it would be beneficial and profitable for them to provide it. Thanks, shellie
