Guest guest
Greetings All... Does anyone know or have experience with how effective herbal treatment can be on H.pylori erradication? Is it possible to " cure " H.pylori with herbs, or do herbs simply keep it " in check " at low levels? If herbs are curative, which of the antibacterials are specifically studied to be effective on this bacterium? Is it primarily Commiphora, Calendula and those with the berberines (i.e. Hydrastis, Berberis vulg., Berb.aquifol)...or are there other very specific herbs for it...? Many thanks to All who can give some thoughts and clinical information/reference on this... Cheers, Tami, MNIMH NJ USA

Guest guest
Is Mastic gum 'curative', or does it act to keep the bacterium at bay...? Is anyone aware of whether everyone who tests positive to H.pylori succumbs to ulcers or other gastric issues? [i am enquiring with someone specific in mind... with gastric lymphoma.] Texts say that the aetiology does acknowledge H.pylori as one causative factor possible/involved, and that treatment/erradication of the H.pylori yields positive response to treating the lymphoma. So, I was wondering (for when I speak to the patient's physician) if I can claim herbs to cure the H.pylori or simply reduce its numbers/strength. **I am also wondering... does the presence of H.pylori guarantee health related issues at some point in time? In other words, do most people eventually have symptoms or other illnesses as a result of its presence...or is this another widespread bacterium that only affects those with weakened resistance(??) And, is there a simple saliva test to determine the presence of H.pylori that we can do in our offices? Finally (sorry for the plethora of questions here!!), how do we actually get " exposed " to this bacterium...is there a method of transmission we should be aware of...? Please forgive my ignorance... Thanks... Tami, MNIMH NJ USA Subject: Re: H.pylori > Mastic gum may be effective against H. pylori
Guest guest
Mastic gum. I understood it eliminated the bacteria, but I can't remember the studies which suggested this, sorry. I am sure someone else will know.
