Guest guest
Sue, all us parents know how anguishing this is for you. I send love. Good to keep on the compresses. I would add a slippery elm poultice and change it as it dries out. I used this on my 2 year old with raging earache/ infection and it worked wonders, should help with this. Also, for reducing high temperatures, give him an enema. Use yellow dock or similar or even water. The cold sheet treatment should also be considered. This takes toxins out via colon. Basically: give a warm bath, give a diaphoretic tea, then wrap him in a wet, wrong out sheet and put him to bed ) having protected bedclothes with plastic) and cover with blankets. Dr. also recommends garlic paste to the feet. You may want to place cool cloths on head and maybe let feet stick out, it depends. Anyway, once the sheet dries out from his fever, you remove it a let him rest. If He gets at all chilly though, remove cold sheet/ discontinue/ and replace with warmth.
