Guest guest
Hmmmm, Hyaluronic Acid was one of those things that piqued my interest at one point in time, but then my cycnicism (based on so many failed supplement experiments) won out and I forgot about it. What do you recommend for getting more of it? I noticed in a little search I did that magnesium is needed for HA to be metabolized. It's possible we have the HA, but aren't utilizing it due to our depleted magnesium stores. Perhaps yet another reason that my symptoms respond well to Magnesium? I've also been adding coconut oil to my diet recently. So much easier than I thought it would be, and I'm really loving the effect it's having on my G.I. tract, not to mention, the anticipation that the other healing and antimicrobial properties that Coconut Oil is supposed to posess (monolauric acid) will actually bear fruit. Any connection between the two acids, in your mind? penny > > > > > > > > > A New Approach to Chronic Lyme Disease > > > I think there's more afoot than what's suspected > here...Lamisil > > works > > > against CWD bacteria ...it has a completely different mode of > > action than > > > Fluconazole ...Will someone else try the drug to confirm my > > experiences .. > > > what about it? ... > > > > > > > > > http://www.immunesupport.com/library/bulletinarticle.cfm? > ID=6431 > > > -- > > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > > > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > > > Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.7 - Release Date: > > 09/05/2005
Guest guest
Inflammation generates a lot of proteases and other degradating enzymes. One is hyaluronidase, which digests our HA. So, again....it's important to reduce inflammation to protect our HA. To increase our production of it we can actually take HA as a supplement. I prefer the liquid form...I use it sublingually. The supplement I mentioned earlier, N-acetyl-glucosamine (NAG) will is used by the body to produce HA. NAG is the body's precursor to HA. > > > > > > > > > > > > A New Approach to Chronic Lyme Disease > > > > I think there's more afoot than what's suspected > > here...Lamisil > > > works > > > > against CWD bacteria ...it has a completely different mode of > > > action than > > > > Fluconazole ...Will someone else try the drug to confirm my > > > experiences .. > > > > what about it? ... > > > > > > > > > > > > http://www.immunesupport.com/library/bulletinarticle.cfm? > > ID=6431 > > > > -- > > > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > > > > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > > > > Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.7 - Release Date: > > > 09/05/2005
Guest guest
Penny: Glad you like the Coconut oil. I love the stuff. I've done alot of research on Hyaluronic acid in the past. The % absorption for the oral route is almost nil... and injections aren't approved for people (great for horses though - spectacular results). Guest guest
: See my other post.. I have not found a HA product that convinces me it's worth the money... (i.e. almost zero absorption). What product do you take? Do you have info on absorption? Guest guest
Barb, I use Synthovial Seven... www.hyalogic.com It's expensive, but it's pharmaceutical quality...and it works. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > A New Approach to Chronic Lyme Disease > > > > > > I think there's more afoot than what's suspected > > > > here...Lamisil > > > > > works > > > > > > against CWD bacteria ...it has a completely different mode > > of > > > > > action than > > > > > > Fluconazole ...Will someone else try the drug to confirm my > > > > > experiences .. > > > > > > what about it? ... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > http://www.immunesupport.com/library/bulletinarticle.cfm? > > > > ID=6431 > > > > > > -- > > > > > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > > > > > > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > > > > > > Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.7 - Release Date: > > > > > 09/05/2005
Guest guest
: For the last 6 or 7 years, I have taken Glucosamine/Condroitin sulfate for about one month every year. It completely alleviated early arthritis in the small joint at the base of my spine 6 years ago.. And I have seen old cats, dogd, and horses improve on it. I know glucosamine is a HA precursor - and there's alot of HA in the vitreous humor of the eye and the syovial fluid - par of the consituents for the proper viscosity.. I have not found any convincing studies- or, more importantly - seen empircally (in humans or animals) that oral HA- (no matter what the grade) is better than the precursor. When supplementing Glu/Con there are improvements in the joint fluid viscosity (and the vitreous humor) so I'm assuming then there has to be HA conversion going on... Glu/Con works for me, and my animals.. although as I posted previously - I do have a horse that's injected with HA and PSGAGS.. and the response is immediate- and I've pumped hiim with oral HA previously to no avail. Within a few months of the G & C combo, he was out playing again. It was quite miraculous. I bought it for him based on another miraculous account I'd heard which came from the wife of a veterinarian, who used it in his animals, and then put her on it, way before it was commonly used. She said the results were amazing, her arthritis " disappeared " . I think this might be a good thing to consider now, to combine it with the ARB, for as says, a multi-pronged effort is probably best. I'd like to reduce my ARB usage, by replacing it with other things, but so far, nothing else works like Benicar. I can rarely get below 100 mg per day. 120 keeps me in really good shape. Compared to all the years of pain and other suffering I've had caused by inflammation, some suspicion of risk is worth it to me right now. penny
Guest guest
I agree that the precursors are useful to use. However, I have also seen sublingual HA work extremely well for not only arthritis, but also numerous types of neuropathies including sciatic nerve pain. I'm not dogmatic about how to increase HA...but, I do know that inflammation does reduce it and therapies to reduce inflammation and that increase HA levels are helpful. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > A New Approach to Chronic Lyme Disease > > > > > > > > I think there's more afoot than what's suspected > > > > > > here...Lamisil > > > > > > > works > > > > > > > > against CWD bacteria ...it has a completely different > > mode > > > > of > > > > > > > action than > > > > > > > > Fluconazole ...Will someone else try the drug to > confirm > > my > > > > > > > experiences .. > > > > > > > > what about it? ... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > http://www.immunesupport.com/library/bulletinarticle.cfm? > > > > > > ID=6431 > > > > > > > > -- > > > > > > > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > > > > > > > > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > > > > > > > > Version: 7.0.308 / Virus Database: 266.11.7 - Release > > Date: > > > > > > > 09/05/2005
