Guest guest
In my opinion...no, HA is no substitute for Benicar or any other ARB for controlling inflammation. There's no comparison. > Hi all > > Having just read this glowing report about hyaluronic acid (admittedly > they are selling it!) Guest guest
, you must reckon as your email name suggests with the fact that ARBS have NO anti-inflammatory benefit in some patients. I believe you know this, but wish you would qualify your statements to reflect it. Doesn't take anything away from those who are helped. Thanks, > > Hi all > > > > Having just read this glowing report about hyaluronic acid > (admittedly > > they are selling it!) Guest guest
You can say the same thing about any single anti-inflammatory modality...save the glucocorticoids. That's why I have often spoken about a comprehensive anti- inflammatory regimen. The immune system is too complex to simply modulate at one place. There are several important pathways in the cascade that must be addressed. ARBs work in an important pathway...ATII is significant in chronic inflammation. In my experience, the more comprehensive the regimen, the better the patients usually do. > > > Hi all > > > > > > Having just read this glowing report about hyaluronic acid > > (admittedly > > > they are selling it!) Guest guest
I just had a major eye exam at Dartmouth Hitchcock yesterday... new referal, as my Ohpth moved to Utah. The Doc said " Not only is it remarkable that your eyes show no scaring, no catarac, and no signature of a 12 year both with almost constant posterior and anterior **Uveitis, you're eyes are healthier than most people your age " . So he was pretty shocked.. I was sorta- Iknew i hadn't had an eye flare in almost a year - and i was the last symptom to subside.. but I figured I had damage in there.. SO... Hmmmmm I've done something right- And this Doc is interested, as all my eye peoblems were well documented. He's actually interested in looking at my records besides the eye records. (Hopefully it'll help someone future patient) I attribute this lack of damage to the heavy oral antioxidant use, supplements and food .. (including n- acetyl carnosine eye drops, and oral GAGs.. for conversion to HA) Catarac is, afterall, oxidation of the lens in the eye. Free radicals are abundantly produced produced in inflammation- and along with those modulators every one takes.. antioxidants are just as important, maybe more. I sort of wandered here on the HA discussion.. but everything is just so connected - it's hard to talk about just one sustance. Barb **(sometimes I was off the inflammation scale- any so many imuune cells in the eyes the cells snow drifted) > > > > Hi all > > > > > > > > Having just read this glowing report about hyaluronic acid > > > (admittedly > > > > they are selling it!) Guest guest
Barb, that's awesome! Was your vision affected, and did it improve with treatment? My vision is getting REALLY bad, really fast. I would like to halt it and reverse it. But like you say, you never know exactly what's causing what. penny > > > > > Hi all > > > > > > > > > > Having just read this glowing report about hyaluronic acid > > > > (admittedly > > > > > they are selling it!)
