Guest guest
I had to let this go, because it was gnawing away at me. We have been through so much in our household. You want that pain, suffering, ignorance, indifference and condemnation to mean something in the end. It doesn't matter if it is the child, parent, family, friends or medical community that brings grief to the Lyme inflected person or to the caregivers. However it manifest itself you hope this heartache and grief can ultimately bless others. We know of a family that has three little girls. They are healthy, eat mostly organic, basically eat and live a much healthier lifestyle than most of America. All three children are about one year apart, biological children,no known health problems. They move to another state and you receive photos of one of these little girls with a face that is barely recognizable. She now has Bells palsy. Light bulb moment over here? Then you hear over time she is often sick, unexplained fevers, etc. I share my suspicions, mom comes back and says, okay what do we do. I tell her I would treat her aggressively as if her life depends on it, because it does depend on it. There are options, choose your plan of attack and don't look back, keep on keeping on as they say. They decide she isn't sick, it was Bells palsy and the years pass. This is a young child. We know another family that came back from Missouri, teen started changing, lying around on the couch, the joint pain, got sick on way home, fevers, etc, doesn't want to even do her favorite activities like motorcycle riding, can't take all the commotion of normal family living, ends up spending time with grandma. We send links, my daughter wants to spare these kids the misery she knows, so she personally rides over to the house, tells the mom the story. The mom is shaking her head left and right, yes, yes, that sounds just like her. tells them they can come and use our machine if they want to, etc. A year goes by and you hear she is even more tired, not really into much of anything, missed a lot of school. Is it our approach? How can we shake people up to the horrors of this disease. I think my family thinks we are a brick short of a load. How bad can it really be. Can't some antibiotics do the job and turn this around. Isn't it just to far fetched for it to be as bad as we say it is, when the whole world isnt ot talking about it. I truly believe this will be the equivalent of the black plague. I am certain my best friend has this and one other person as well. We also know another baby that was bit in Texas, circle rash, being treated by Klinghardt and mom has it as well. The funeral they were attending was a dear friend of mine, where the child was bit. My friend use to take a pie tin and put corn in it and feed the deer's out of it. I told him I thought he was absolutely crazy, we would never visit. He died and when I saw his photo on the funeral announcement I saw the blotchy looking, red, Lymie eye look all over him. He had a history of epilepsy, beginning stage of heart disease. I swear Lyme killed him. All this suffering and you can't help anyone except be a support on this group, if that, and it frustrates me to no end. You can't imagine how many times I have asked myself why was I not the one who was bit, after all we were sleeping in a single tent. Why did I not see it? Why did I let it got that it was just ankle pain, growing pains, it was a reoccurring rash from stress, she was to busy to remember, it was just an age, why didn't I see the Lyme that is so obvious in photos? I ask her why she isn't mad at me and wonder how she can ever forgive me for not treating this in the beginning? A mother's lament knows no bounds. Then all the wasted money on useless cures, endless doctors appointments and most of all lost time in a child's life. Can you imagine being responsible or supporting this as a bio weapon. Doesn't Bush, jr. have Lyme? It doesn't discriminate. My tirade ends. PS- I need to preside over a funeral. LIttle Red Hen just died, the box is decorated, and my little one is waiting for the hole digger to arrive and the preacher to say a few words. I wear a few hats in this home. :-)
