While talking to my sister about it, my daughter overheard the word goiter and asked me what that word meant. Interestingly enough, my sister also asked me what specifically was a goiter. Can anyone (ah-hem....Jan) explain what exactly a goiter is, but do so in laymen's terms. I would like to be able to explain this as easy as possible to my daughter who is only 7. Thanks for the help.
