Hi all,

I don't know if you all can help me, but I must write to say you're

a brave, informed, amazing group. I have lurked on this site a long

while learning as much as I can starting with the big handicap of

very little knowledge of biology (slept thru most science

unfortunately)

I'm getting paid back in spades now trying to help my 25 year old

daughter who dropped out of college 5 years ago with some

horrible " mystery " illness (at the time seemed mostly stomach

oriented with vomiting and abdominal pain etc.) and she has suffered

and stayed mostly in bed ever since. Long story short, after no luck

with GI's we went to a brilliant gyno for her pelvic pain and he

diagnosed possible bowel adhesions (she had them) and lyme. Igenex

says she is postitive for Ehrlichia chaffeensis (HME) and suspicious

for lyme and we live in tick heaven (Marin, CA)

My questions are so many but first of all... this is someone who

never had surgery or PID the two " causes " of adhesions. Does anyone

know of inflamations or infections that might cause this? I ask

because I'm wondering if hse should test for other co-infections

besides the tick borne ones?

Also, if anyone has a doctor on West Coast who might be able to help

treat my daughter (having poor luck getting well known lmye docs to

return phone calls let alone see new patients)I'd appreciate it.

Private email is fine.

Thanks so much to you all. Where else would I learn about what a

herx is or is not? Also in our desperation we were considering the

unnamed protocol.
