Guest guest
Well... maybe I was wrong... the potency of nitroimidazoles for many people *does* suggest maybe something strange and very critical is going on with enclosed cysts, something hard to explain. But I dont know if it *proves* that, cause can one rule out an effect on spirochetes and non-enclosed L-forms in vivo? I dono. Maybe Stricker is coming at it from that empirical angle, in which case he might be alot more up his sleeve than I was suspecting.
Guest guest
With some bacteria, they morph quickly into their variant form, and the abx that chased them into that form can either be INeffective on the variant, or even more effective. When 2 abx are used in combo, sometimes the second abx will chase the variant back into the classical form (or damage the variant so the immune system activates) - so the use of 2 abx may be able to drive the forms back and forth - and the abx will kill one or the other. This is the reasoning behind double and triple abx combinations Bb morphs pretty quickly in vitro in the presence of abx (within 2 hrs.) Who knows in the body how long it would take? The same time? Longer? And as they morph, they're creating different proteis and maybe their own enzymes.. so I can see how this would add to a person feeling crappy.
