This is just a question to everyone who has finished band/helmet

treatment or has babes in band or helmet. I was thinking earlier and

wondering which areas do you see correction in first with the band or

helmet. ie: do you see rounding out at the back and then the

forehead push back and the ears realign. What about facial

assymmetry? Just curious to see if there are similarities in how the

head shape remolds. I saw a message posted earlier where somebody

(sorry, can't remember who and I don't want to look back through all

the messages) said that after a week they noticed the edges rounding

out. Be interesting to see if the process is similar.

The first change we noticed was the rounding in back. I really don't

concentrate on facial symmetry but ears are also moving now. Belinda

Hi !

With Grace, her "flat spot" was the first thing to start rounding out. her ears are doing well too. The facial asymmetry seems to be slow to even up, and that's frustrating. I've heard from others that the ears are the last to go, but I guess Grace just had to be difficult! ;)

Hi ,

is slightly more foreward on the right side. It seems to be correcting slowly. Our doctor at 8 months said that the assymetry was "very obvious" and that was when he referred us to the pediatrician. But I took him last week and he said that looking at him from the front he can't notice it as much as before. I wish he wasn't away when I first noticed the plagio, because I believe that if he was there that I wouldn't have been brushed off with "nobody's perfectly symmetrical" (that's what the locum said) and the ball would have been rolling at 4 months rather than 7 months. I guess everyone has a similar story. But I am really happy now that our family doctor is working with us. He is very interested in the information I have and has been in contact with other doctors re: treatment. He has never brushed us off and has always been supportive and understanding. We actually feel like we are working together. Isn't that a surprise!
