Guest guest
Dear all, At last I had the possibility to write you. I read all your messagges from one month ago (when I joined your group). I am be amazed by several of them and I had the possibility to compare my experience with other people because I am also affected by Still’s desease. My name is and I am thirty four years old. I am married with two children (three and five years old) and I am Italian. This desease changed all my life and I am lucky because I discover the cause only after three months. Three months terrible because at the desease was added the anxiety of an unclear answer from the physicians. Someone incompetent other ignorant. This desease is rare but this is not a justification for sent home from the hospital a sick person without any therapy or indication about the medical test to do. I was alone looking for someone able to complete the puzzle: leucocytosis, high white globule, fever, “linfoadenopatia”, rash, perycardites, arthritis and serositis at the legs (I can’t walk). Finally the Providence help me to meet the right people. Now I follow a farmacological therapy (cortison, methotrexate, cyclosporine) that seems to work because I can walk, etc. I am still suffering for the pains at the legs and head, there are good days and bad days. At the beginning was important to know the desease after to accept the change in my life. Now I understand that only living day by day I can accept the desease and so my future. When I look my children I can find the courage to go ahead. I trust strongly in God and in the bad times He help me. I see the life with new eyes, I believe that the life is a precious present of God and every small thing is a conquest, an exhausting conquest. I apologize for my English language. I will try to write you as soon as possible. Thanks for listening .
