Hi Natasa,

Just wanted to share that DS here had these dark green stools for over a

year, constantly asked drs about this and first GI at GOSH told us it

was a bacterial infection causing it (she was advising putting DS on

continuous low dose antibiotic long term :0 Our paediatrician

insisted it was his diet (but no chance of this as DS was not on any

green foods). Mind he was on the ketogenic diet (high fats)????

In the end the green stools came to a sudden halt when DS had a course

of emergency treatment with i.v. metronidazole and another antibiotic,

following severe bleeding after his biopsies. I think that it is the

metronidazole that killed whatever it was, as at the same time the very

bloated and huge tummy just seemed to deflate!!! From the green stools

he went on to have mustard yellow stools and these continued until

recently when we started TCM and acupuncture, his stools are a very

normal brown colour. We're now waiting to see if we can progress to

formed stools.
