I saw the Journal entry on the need for advertising.

I hope you have the chance to take a class (or have someone who's

judgement you trust take it) on website marketing, there are a lot of

options for gaining revenue on a website. Banner sharing, hosting

links, and many other options, which all of a sudden I cant recall. A

good website designer will also have taken a class in this and can help.

Check out spark people's site, they have a 'guest shopper' program,

where you buy things and they get some credit for your purchases as

they directed to the shop.

And then there's your traditional advertising.

What I would like to see the most for traditional advertising, is

clothing, shoes, online groceries which sell good foods, health info,

small clothing manufacturers, and special shoe manufacturers! So many

people on the group have had problems finding shoes they can wear for

their weightloss. It took me 3 years to find a shoe i could wear

hiking.

anyway, non-meg-corporate advertisers would be excellent. i'm so tired

of being pounded by the same old advertisers & the pharmaceuticals!

Also, please avoid the big flashy flashing ads. they are a real

pooper for Mac users and people on dial up.

What does everyone else think?
