Hello Everyone!

I wanted to know if you are sprouting your grains, is it still necessary

to soak them in cultured milk?

Also what is the purpose of soaking meat in kefir?

Lastly, did anyone find out any info about sprouting nuts? I inquired

about this in a previous email to the group.

Okay thank you,

Kareemah

If you sprout your grains you don't have to soak them overnight. You either

need to do one or the other.

I haven't started doing any real sprouting yet. My son did some for his

science experiment but I was stopped as I didn't know what to do with them

once we had them. I just invested in a couple books with some great recipes

so will get starter in a couple weeks when a few projects are buttoned up and

there's a little more time for some flops or shall I say learning experiences!

Soaking your meat in kefir tenderizes it. Some of the wild game we eat can

be quite tough as the animals have to work a little harder for their food. I

soak it in kefir and end up with some very tender cuts of meat. My dog then

loves the kefir that has had the meat soaking in it.

The the book Sally's states there's only one seed you shouldn't sprout and

that's alfalfa. She goes into why not to. Check out the sprouting section I

think it's the last paragraph of the sprouting info where she talks about it.
