MALCOLM HOOPER SUPER-HERO...

With great expertees Professor Hooper clearly spells out

research revealing deep brain structure damage, biochemical,

neuro-immune deficit and even genetic changes in M.E.

patients - all of which absolutely demolish the deceitful

psycho-social models of M.E. and their attendant

CBT/GET 'treatments'. The latter of which Professor Hooper

shows is a waste of time and money and for which medical

professionals may well be sued in the courts. Unfortunately

such psychologising treatments are where the money is going

in the UK and Professor Hooper states quite categorically

that such money has in fact compromised certain M.E. groups

claiming to represent M.E. sufferers. Such trends and

mistreatment should not be accepted by the M.E. community

and we are urged to muster the nerve to fight for justice

and to get organised. The tools we have to fight this

injustice are science, the WHO listing and the Canadian

Criteria which we should use to the full. Crucially, we

should be aware that disease definitions are critical in

our fight and we should emphatically NOT get taken in with

repeated deceptions in this area or get sucked into using the

term 'OPATHY' which damages our cause.

Notions of EITHER viral/bacterial OR chemical causation

are overcome with research showing that BOTH bugs and

environmental chemicals alike open up the blood-brain-barrier.

These are allowing neurotoxic damage to occur with additional

poisoning coming from wheat and dairy rich diets via a

'leaky gut' process. A whole prolonged physical dysfunction

then being set in place where complex molecular & immune

responses cause physical damage to the sufferer. Professor

Hooper clearly shows that biomedical diagnostic testing is

not only possible but should be done as a matter of course

and that whilst there is no cure as yet, intelligent

nutritional and other interventions can make a significant

difference to a patient's life. Similarities between M.E.

and other illnessess are shown but it is also clearly

spelled out that M.E. is a unique biomedical disease in

its own right with its own aetiology.

Professor Hooper was chief scientific advisor to the

gulf war veterans and played a major role in defeating

the Wessely-School psychobabble used against GWS patients.

He was also a long standing friend of the late and great M.E.

researcher Dr - who Professor Hooper

describes as an " M.E. Super Hero " . Given the outstanding

work that he himself has done, and is doing, for M.E.

Hi Tom

Here is the short version of the latest update on the Professor

Hooper DVD/Film from the Norfolk M.E. Group UK, below. The full

text of this can be found at the One Click Group website at

The people in the Norfolk ME Group UK who have set up this wonderful

initiative with Professor Hooper's DVD/Film are really ill with ME.

They had not thought through this international ordering business,

but they are working on it as hard as they can, the awful

incapacitating symptoms of this disease notwithstanding.

The Norfolk ME Group are trying to set up PayPal or Nochex as I

write so that credit card payments can be taken. At the moment,

unfortunately, payment can only be taken in pounds sterling by

either cheque or cash. When the Norfolk ME Group checked with

their bank to see if cheques could be sent to them in other

currencies, the bank told them that they would charge between £20 to

£30 to convert each cheque. Outrageous! Obviously, they cannot

afford this kind of outlay. Hopefully, Norfolk ME Group will be able

to set up PayPal or Nochex soon. This DVD/Film is a non-proft

initiative and a gift to the ME/CFS community from Professor Malcolm

Hooper, Emeritus Professor of Medicinal Chemistry. He is one great

man and one of the best speakers on ME/CFS, World Health

Organisation neurological disease classification ICD-10 G93.3 that I

have ever had the privilege to see.
