I am glad everyone seems to like the " check in " or " brag board " idea! Anyone

want to suggest the " rules " as fas as should it be daily or weekly... any

other suggestions? And I am also glad to hear that I am not the only klutz in

the bunch! Not only have I punched myself, but I also kicked over a

lamp...oops! I guess I get a little too excited...

:)

No I've punched myself many a time, of course I've also kicked over lamps and

other items because I misjudged distance.

<< Am

I the only person who has ever punched themselves in the face during the

speed bag rolls? Just wondering....

I'm bad about counting because I don't want to be any louder than I have to

and disturb my fiance who is usually studying....but...when I was in band

(you will hear this a lot) and we counted steps out for marching we counted

on the exhale or the exertion of the movement. So it would be for example

with the jabs to jab and say one at the same time pull back and take a quick

breath.

<< but on others there doesn't seem to be enough time

to inhale when you're trying to count out loud. I'm curious how many of you

count out loud and how you like it?

,

Oh gosh, I read that in his book too and tried it

to the BL1 yesterday and to be honest, I never

realized just HOW HARD I am breathing...LOL But I'm

able to keep going even though I'm breathing so hard I

can't count out too loud...maybe I'll get louder as

time goes on...it sure did wake me up...yet another

something to improve on when it comes to the workout!!

Lynda,

I am chuckling to myself here as I read your last paragraph! I think

everyone has slapped, punched, knuckled or walloped themselves one time

or another! Keep up the great work and it will come! And great idea

about weekly check-ins!! I'm game!

LOL! You're not the only one. I did it a couple of times when I first

started. That's when I learned to focus on what I'm doing instead of

looking at the video. :-)

Well this morning as a matter of fact, my fists kept

banging each other while doing the speed-bag :-)

Being that it was 6:30 in the a.m., I was really

tired today, and today is only my 4th day for getting

up and doing it early--that is since the first quarter

of this year. I was getting up early then, then lost it

all together...have been re-discovering it the past

couple of weeks, however, have been doing it in the p.m.

until end of daylight savings). I totally know what you

mean--my fists get going too fast then one or both want

to stop but keep going and start banging...lol...i have

a little more trouble keeping my balance on the roundhouse

kicks early in the a.m. also.. I know it'll get better with

time though...it did earlier this year :-)

Peace to all
