Of course, another plausible alternative hypothesis is that its the

minocycline acting as the anti-inflammatory and the benicar isn't

doing bupkis. [i have no experience or assessment of mino/benicar

combo, just stating a plausible hypothesis]

The link for the original article (full text) on minocycline/pain is:

http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/cgi/content/full/306/2/624

Take a gander at tables 3 & 4 in particular looking at reduction of

IL-1 & TNF-a with mino. Now, of note, the dosages used in rats

aren't something I'd be using (40 mg/kg! hey,that would be 1880 mgs

a day for me, no thank you!) so I don't know what the implications

are for humans, so....

In addition, if 0ne d0es a search 0n min0cycline (s0rry, have t0

use " zer0 " as an 0 as my 0 key seems t0 have died suddenly!) and

anti-inflammat0ry, y0u see s0me interesting uses/investigati0ns 0f

min0 in dementia, ALS, str0ke, etc b/c 0f neur0immune m0dulating

pr0perties, etc. At least 0ne study l00ks at n0n-antibi0tic

anal0gues t0 be sure it is an anti-inflammat0ry resp0nse and n0t an

antibi0tic 0ne...
