I was rebounding real bad heart rate up to 170. iam on atrovent and the turboinhaler. When i need air its very uncomfortable and scarey i dont gasp for it just dont seem to get enough in..Any help would be greatly appreciated since my doctor didnt do any educating of it to me. Guest guest
Hi, I am so glad someone else is talking about the lack of education doctors give to many asthmatics which only leads to greater panic when and if they do have an attack. I too have had pain in the right flank and my doctor is sending me to be checked for gall or kidney stones. What a relief! ( I am being facetious!) I had a bad experience with an atrovent and advair combination. I will tell you what I do when I get hit with the breathing experience , Calm down, take your inhaler, get some warm water to inhale and some to drink to to cut the mucus alternated with room temp water to get hydrated. Many times we are having exaggerated effects of the meds because they have not been diluted enough by water . If all else fails, do not hesitate to go to the hospital. It is better to be safe than sorry. If you do not have a nebulizer, ask about one . Also get an air purifier and humidifier. Try that , I know it can be scary. Know you have others out here like you who are trying to navigate this some times treacherous disorder. Take care. With you, Kim >From: "Preferred Customer" >Reply-To: asthma >To: >Subject: new to asthma >Date: Sun, 13 Jul 2003 21:38:22 -0400 > >Hi all Iam very new to asthma and am scared. My ribs and back are always in pain.Is this normal???I think i developed it by taking a beta blocker since this is when it all started..Iam being weened off beta blocker very slowly because my heart is very sensitive to it . Guest guest
Hello, Well last night I ended up in the hospital.I felt like a 110lb weight was on my chest and a golf ball in my throat. They gave me a treatment and I seemed to get better. But he did say that my liver level was high....wonderful something else to worry about, but I did take tylenol yesterday and the day before.Who knows. That helps to know that a olympic runner has asthma and still can run.Wow Talk to you again, Thanks Nichole Re: Re: Help! > > > > > > > > Hi Sri, > > > > just twodays before I visited.he only added theophiline > > > > and asked me come after one month. > > > > > > > > Many Greetings, > > > > Senthil Kumar.S. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Senthil, > > > > > Go to a doctor. Guest guest
Hi, I am not really a highly competitive person but i would be interested in being a support for each other's weight loss goals. When do you want to start tracking our weight loss? Oprah had a few doctors comments on ET and they were 1) eat a 220 calorie breakfast ,a 220 calorie lunch and a salad and grilled chicken or fish for dinner. The second on ewas to have a local breakfast, liquid lunch(Slimfast) and a local dinner 3 ) was to write down everything you have eaten for a wee k to see you true caloric intake and reduce it by 500 to 1000 calories a day. tha should lose up to 6 lbs a week or ever 2 weeks i wasn' sure. to get you diet going. Now remember that we are staing away from dairy, gluten products , night shade vegetables and sugars of all kinds. Walking at least 45 minutes 3 time a week. Or 10,000 steps a day . doing strencht straining 3 time a week and drinking 1/2 out weight in oz of water. OF course we shoul also be taking supplements for energy, But let's see what happens . It should really do the trick! As well as make us feel better! Guest guest
Heh Senthil, you are so silly! I am not mad. When I was reading your last email to me, something came to mind. Do you remember when we were discussing the great divides of email and culture, and their ability to create misunderstandings? Well, in this country, two things that will get women fighting mad quite often are asking their weight and age. I think that probably because we're such a youth oriented culture here in the US. Weight is also a sensitive point for many people because of the discrimination they had experienced. I am also a scorpio, so that has something to do with how private I am about certain things. Guest guest
Hi Group! If somebody uses nebulizer for twice a week, then how can we say asthma is in control. It " s seems nebulizer equals to so many puffs of salbutamol.I have confusion about Asthma control? for example, now a days two puffs of salbutamol (average) per day looks fine.)I mean theophiline is really doing something!,on average from 4- 6 puffs I cut down to 2-4 puffs)Isnt that called asthma in control? Thanks! Many Greetings, Senthil Kumar.S. > Heh Senthil, > you are so silly! I am not mad. When I was reading your last email > to me, something came to mind. Guest guest
I would say nebulizers used for rescue medications that often is close to being under control, but not quite. I use my nebulizer daily for a drug called Intal that helps me stabilize any reactions that lead to swelling in my lungs-- so I don't count that as being a bad thing. > Hi Group! > > If somebody uses nebulizer for twice a week, > then how can we say asthma is in control. It " s seems > nebulizer equals to so many puffs of salbutamol.I have confusion > about Asthma control? for example, now a days two puffs of > salbutamol (average) per day looks fine.)I mean theophiline is > really doing something!,on average from 4- 6 puffs I cut down > to 2-4 puffs)Isnt that called asthma in control? > > Thanks! > > Many Greetings, > Senthil Kumar.S.
