Guest guest
Me... I can match it. [infections] Re: red blood cells Hah, world-class sport is a farce these days with this wholeacres-of-gray-area bio-sophistry aspect. All the better; should get acouple percent more of the citizenry out riding bikes and playingpick-up soccer themselves rather than watching the variousuebermenschen duke it out on TV. Personally when I was a competitor, I felt like an ass in the end theone season I used creatine, which is just a performance-enhancingamino acid. Avoiding things for the sake of sport, or eating well, isone thing; when it comes to *actively* doing/taking things, dont takeanything you wouldnt already take just for your own generalwell-being, or that isnt a rock-bottom-basic nutrient like a proteinshake after you hit the weight room. And if necessary, compete onlywith people who feel the same way. Just my personal feeling. If you wanna see a 100% gritty bike race, scope the Race AcrossAmerica - its a *nonstop* race from ocean to ocean; it takes *under aweek* and most riders sleep about 2h a night. Obviously theyre allcompletely freaking insane, so no matter how much creatine they maysuck down you know its still a terrifyingly pure spectacle, ie puremadness. I must say that kind of stuff, and ultramarathons, etc, islikely not very good for your health, but as Nietzsche said greatspirits use themselves up. Well its one thing to say it and another todo it.Yall will be first to hear when me and Scha finish arranging the LymeOlympics. Unfortunately I myself am too depressed to enter in anythingbut the Escapist Hypersomnia event, I bet nobody can match the numberof times I can go back to sleep in one morning. <rhbailey@d...> wrote:> Hi all,> > From a review by Shapin in The New Yorker, April 18, 2005:> > "Nothing but shifting cultural preference lies behind our view thatLance> Armstrong is not cheating if he sleeps in a pressure chamber toboost his> red-blood-cell count but would be cheating if he used EPO..."> > Sue ,> Upstate New York
Guest guest
Thank you so much Shirley, Very kind. a [ ] Re: Red Blood Cells a, Are you taking folic acid in addition? I am sure because of the MTX you have to do labs every month. This is when they found it. If you read Chris's post it seems to be common and not threating. I have already doubled the folic acid and it should be corrected with ease. I don't believe you need to worry. Just be sure you do your labs and get the results from the office. They failed to call me this month because the lab had not sent the results. Good thing I called to inquire or this would have been missed until next labs. I don't have any personal knowledge as far as the platelet count, butI did some searching. This is what I read... " Mild to moderately elevated platelet counts are commonly seen when chronic inflammation is present. " I read it at http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp? articlekey=79481, if you want to check it out. Still, stay on top of your blood work what ever the results. I sure hope your situtation is common just like mine. Shirley > >
