If you haven't seen " Brockovitch " I highly recommend it.

I would love to steal her lines. Next time I have to walk into a high tech

boardroom full of men, be they in boring grey and blue suits or jeans and

t-shirts, I want to say, " yes, indeed I closed the deal, yet again. "

They all look at my long blonde hair and so on, and they think, 'did she DO

it, to close the deal? "

I want to say, " yes, indeed, to make the three hour meeting where I got up at

4:00 a.m. to take care of my son, drop him at Nursery School, drove to the

airport, boarded the plane, took the meeting, closed the deal, flew back down

here, got son, came into office the next morning to tell you I closed the

deal.

AND, in the meantime, I did indeed DO all 4,000 male employees in that

three hour meeting, in between flights to close the deal. "

Yes, Aphrodite lives and breathes and when you are a woman and you look at

her with jealousy and you are a man and you look at her with desire, and all

the hell she's trying to do is pay the mortgage, you kill her spirit.

Go Brockovitch. I get it, life was so hard, when you held your son at

three in the morning and couldn't afford to take him to the Doctors, that

then a lousy boardroom full of male attorneys on a 23 billion dollar company

didn't intimidate you at all. And, neither did that bitch of a female

attorney who tried to intimidate you.

God bless , and there's one piece of coal that didn't get crushed, that

coal became a diamond and mah deahs, me too <g>!
