You can make clear vegetable oils with a fumed silica like Cab-O-Sil M5

(INCI name Silica).

Soybean Oil (94.5%)

Cab-O-Sil M5 (5%)

Polysorbate 85 (0.5%)

Information about Cab-O-Sil can be found at the Cabot website:

You can probably achieve the same effect with Vegelatum Clear (INCI

name: Canola Oil (and) Silica (and) Zea Mays (Corn) Starch) or

Vegelatum Equiline (INCI name Canola Oil (and) Glycine Soja (Soybean)

Germ Extract (and) Zea Mays (Corn) Starch (and) Silica).

Basically, the Vegelatums are vegetabe oil gels that have been gelled

with Silica.

Vegelatum is sold by Natunola and their website is located at

into business or catalog sales until you create a product people are

clamoring for. The whole idea behind a home based biz is to know your

product very well. To test it and retest it until you know it as well as

you know your name. I *think* you'll create success this way.

Anyone can bake bread, but we don't all open bakeries.

I don't mean any insult, but this " industry " has become flooded with folks

who find a variety of recipes and throw open their doors. Let me ask you

this:

What is the shelf life of your salt scrub?

What are the draw backs to using sugar in your recipe?

Why does the salt get " hard " after 4 days?

Have you tried an Origins or another comparable product? How does your

compare? If it is better, why?

Why is " all natural " important?

Have your cousin and/or you owned a business before?

Do you have a biz plan?

Do you have insurance?

Do you understand your liabilities?

It's awesome that you may be considered for mass marketing. But understand

the dimensions. And KNOW your product.

Dear Larrae,

Thank you for your post!! You are more right that you know!!~~~it

really came as a fluke that we are being considered for the catalog

and the store---I was rather unprepared(gee, can ya tell:)for this to

happen---I'm a rather methodical person-which can be good, and bad-

lol-and I like to know how our product will 'age', :) among other

things--your check list is a great one!!!-I would feel comfortable if

we could indeed answer all the questions one should have answers to

on your list-but we can't, and I'm not feeling very ready for this,

but we couldn't not try, as I said, we had no idea that this would

happen!---a customer that was very enthusiastic about our products

knew someone in the company, and felt that we would do well in the

stores, so she sent the scrubs and other things herself-even paid to

ship it--she is such a nice person, and we appreciate it very much:)--

so, I figured that I'd just go with the flow, and see what would

happen-LOL--so, that explains my post!! I do appreciate your post-I'm

going to print it out, to show my cousin, and NO insult is taken at

all!!--we need all the advice and help we can get, as you could

probably tell!! My next step is to get a computer with spell check-:(

that would make my life much better right away!!
