CPD applied for Presented by the Registered Charity, 'Lyme Disease Action' Lyme Disease Action's first three UK Conferences on Tick-Borne Diseases, held in 2001, 2003 and 2004, have resulted in a considerable improvement in the understanding and treatment of many previously thought to be `mysterious' conditions. Research continues with increasing pace and urgency. Once again, the registered charity, Lyme Disease Action, will bring together medical staff, academic researchers, and patients who suffer from vector-borne diseases, especially tick-borne diseases, contracted within the UK and Europe. The medical and scientific presentations will be made over a two day period. Practical demonstrations and poster presentations will be on display in the side room and also form part of the conference. Many medical professionals, patients and carers are now being given the opportunity to learn about these debilitating diseases.
