Guest guest
Dear all I have a patient, age 48 that I have been treating for endometrial hyperplasia who also suffers from severe chronic asthma. She has spent the past year in and out of hospital, being pumped full of steroids, but originally only wanted me to treat her gynae probs. Her periods have now normalised and she would like to see if I can help with the asthma. The Rx she is now on Thuja 10, Chelidonium 5, Alchemilla vul 20, T Fol fe 15, Achillea 15, Vib op 20, Glyc fe 5 and Inula 20. We want to keep this the same until next period and if all is still well, will reduce this grad. She also takes Fluoxetine, Lansoprazole, Remedine, Accolate (a new addition), Fuco diuretic and by inhaler-Oxis bid , Pulmicort bid, Atrovent qid, she has a nebuliser if she needs. She is very overweight but trying hard to change her diet and has lost 11lbs of late and smoked heavily until last year. I would like to consider using Ephedra, Lobelia, Datura, Ammi visgna but feel so inexperienced and basically unsure as to the right approach with all the meds she is on. She has noticed that the Rx she is now on also helps asthma to a point. Stress plays a big part in attacks, she trys to do a little exercise daily but sometimes just getting dressed or going up stairs is a real challenge. I would really like to make a difference. If anyone can offer any guidance it would be lovely, thanks in advance.chris Caton, MNIMH chris@...
