Well, don't move to Halifax hoping to get to see one sooner. The wait

is 3 years here. Now they have a special phone line for people who are

thinking of suicide and can't get in to the pain clinic because of the

wait. Great help, eh?

, that's really sweet. I have always felt welcome here, even though

I have continued on the protocol I'm on. I am not committed

ideologically to any one protocol. I just want my son and me to get

better. So I try to remain open to all reasonable ideas (acknowledging

that people may disagree on what's reasonable!). Part of the reason I

am on the protocol I am on is that I can access it with only limited

doctor cooperation. If I can get more cooperation from doctors in the

future, I could try some other approaches. So far, my strategy has been

to make life bearable enough for me to survive in order to gain time to

figure out how to solve the problem!
