Guest guest
Hi Jen, Great to hear you have an appt so soon in Rochester. Please let us know if we can help with any questions and know we are all pulling for you and Bryce. Wishing you safe travels, Tina Update on Bryce Hi, everyone. I am fairly new to the group...I posted my intro a few weeks ago. I am going to be "a regular" so I need to start somewhere with getting you all to know me and Bryce and me to know all of you :)Bryce is going for his MRI in a couple of days....on Friday (my husband and I are nervous about this) and then the plan is to travel to Rochester for casting February 9th/10th...assuming all goes well on Friday. He just had as standing xray done on Monday and his curve is at 48 degrees.I have been reading all the posts, but don't have a whole lot to contrubute as far as information goes. Hopefully, I will one day be the wealth of info that you all are, though, and I can contribute more to the group I am so thankful to have found this group and this treatment option. I have such a sense of relief just knowing that I feel confident in our treatment choice. Thanks,Jen
Guest guest
Jen, Good luck with everything. Im sure it will all go fine. The MRI wasnt bad for my daughter. She was only 6 months old and t hey just gave her sleepy meds and she woke up right as they were done. My husband fell asleep and i sat there and read magazines. We got to be in the room with her, which i liked. And I hear great things about Rochester so your doing all the right things! We'll be thinkng of you. Keep us updated.ShaunaSubject: Update on BryceTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 8:49 PM Hi, everyone. I am fairly new to the group...I posted my intro a few weeks ago. Guest guest
Hi Jen, Welcome to our group... We'll miss you in Rochester by less than 2 weeks... We go there too and it's a great place. Noelle was first casted at 18 months with a curve b/t 45-50 degrees and is now in cast number 5. She is at 16 degrees now in a standing x-ray out of cast!!! How old is Bryce? The MRI is not bad.... Worst part is that they put your baby to sleep and insert the IV. Noelle's MRI was of her brain and spine and took 4 hours. He will probably be cranky afterwards, but it shouldn't last too long. Please feel free to e-mail me privately if you have questions about Rochester, the docs, staff, etc. Hugs, Steph Subject: Update on BryceTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Thursday, January 22, 2009, 2:49 AM Hi, everyone.
