Guest guest
Good luck - in addition to the Mattman '98 culture study, there are a couple studies directly (microscopically) demonstrating persistance of Bb in tissues (after abx). Be ready for the New England Journal treatment study (c. 2002?) where no benefits resulted from a significant amount of ceftriaxone followed by a significant amount of doxy. I dont know how that happened. Scattered on the web are copies of some huffy letters to NEJM about that study, which probably have some salient points about its methodology and epistemology. <KateDunlay@h...> wrote: > Thanks for mentioning these. Yup, that's in the notebook (thanks to you!). > Be ready for the New England Journal treatment study (c. 2002?) > where no benefits resulted from a significant amount of ceftriaxone > followed by a significant amount of doxy. I do remember seeing discussion of it, which I should try to locate. - Kate D.
