I hope that your friend is okay, diverticultis is nasty and I dont know that there is much that can be done for it. Please reconsider if you think about leaving Curves, once you have your op and you start to loose, you will notice your energy levels increase. Plus you need to have some 'me' time - that is as good as an excuse as any. I cant next satusday, but the one following we can meet and go for a coffee at Sweet Belem afterwards if you like! Have a happy mothers day! I think my Ma had a good one yesterday and we are carrying it on again today - at least the 'take it easy' part of the thing.
