This is an interesting exchange. I think 's point is very

striking, and may dovetail with what Garth Nicolson was noticing.

Because if you use cell-wall inhibiting and ribosome-inhibiting

antibiotics at the same time, and the RIB inhibitor slows down

division, the bugs have more time to react and use their 'quorum

sensing' thingy to let their pals know its time to go cystic.

Sounds like it could be a pretty bad combination. You might indeed be

allowing an inordinate number of cysts form in response to the

penicillin, just by adding the second class of antibiotic.

I'm not taking anything with the IM Bicillin except a month of

Diflucan, to eradicate any yeast from months of oral abx.
