Guest guest
I know sometimes I just say to myself, " What the hell is this all about. " when I think I'm attacking on all fronts and low and behold I get a back door infection from out of nowhere. When I had the MRSA in jan/feb I would have thought that the vancomyacin would have killed everything even remotely infectious, but I too, got a sideline infection. For me it was sinus. The ID doctor said that he saw it on the lab reports and it wasn't sensative to the vanco, so it was plowing full force ahead. That was when he added another antibiotic to the mix. Clinically I've been declared " well " but somehow I'm not comforted to know that although I feel like death warmed over, I'm " clinically " well. I started samento about two weeks ago and didn't note any herx symptoms although someone once asked me how would I ever know when I'm feeling worse, as I feel so ill even on a normal day.Somehow I managed to get in four ultra=violet blood treatments last month. I haven't gone back for more in the past two weeks because all of a sudden i've got edema. This has not been one of my problems in the past so I'm trying to figure out what the signs are telling me. I am not very informative on whether or not you are experiencing Herx reactions, as I've not studied that theory very much. I am a huge advocate of " believing in your gut " Meaning that above all else, above everything that a doctor or anyone else tells you, your own body will tell you what it needs and what it doesn't need . Our problem tends to be the brian clutter given us by the mainstream establishment ducs, leading to doubt in ourselves. From the very beginning my body told me that I was fighting infections, I just couldn't get anyone to listen. I'd like to know what your gut is telling you on this Marie, you seem to be a well grounded person. What is that still small voice echoing in your head? Peg > > Today is day @ of Rifampin. Guest guest
My sore throat was gone the next day. Go figure. I have been noticing a lot of local inflammation popping up. Like for instance-one day I woke up with a red hot sore index finger on my right hand. It was sore to the touch and lasted most of that day. The next day it was gone. For a long time I have had a sore knuckle on that finger which I assumed was arthritis. Last weekend I had the sorest neck. My cervical spine felt like a boil and it was throwing my neck and shoulders into spasm. That too I attributed to arthritis. That lasted for several days. I iced it etc. It cooled down and now is barely sore. I am hoping this is the antibiotics working on local pockets of infection. Some of my FMS tender points have settled down too and aren't so sore to the touch. I am very hopeful as yesterday I had the best day I have had in my recent memory. I was very functional for about 8 hours and felt-well-normal. That is to say I thought the fatigue I experienced felt more like the fatigue of deconditioning. I am feeling well today as well. I am praying for the " cure " . Marie --- Peg <lanelle@...> wrote: > > > I know sometimes I just say to myself, " What the > hell is this all > about.
