My Daughter use to have rashes behind her knees and they would burn...it was getting so bad that she was getting them under her arm pits. We tried a gluten free diet for 1 year no wheat, oats, barley or rye. They went away... well then we found out about Treating the grains. We have only used organic spelt that we grind and a little rye and oats. We have found that she can have these but she has to have butter, and raw veggies with it. It seems like if she has to much dairy, or fruit it will also trigger it. In January we used the rainbow diet for Candida. By doing this they cleared up. now we try to have a balance of food for her to eat. We usually only have grains for breakfast and sometimes at one of the other meals. Its not the main part. i hope this helps. My daughter is going to be 8 next month and when I hear of other children having the same problem at the same age I wonder if vacinations is a part of this???????? I think I only mentioned that she had hives on her face, but she used to have a rash behind her knees. I believe it was while we were all-raw and I associated it with a virus that was going around because some of the other kids had it as well and it was at the same time that they had a cold/flu bug. She's never been vaccinated. I get hives inside my elbows after restaurant meals and I used to get it when I would eat any cooked food, which probably would've included improperly prepared grains. Guest guest Posted October 19, 2001 Report Share Posted October 19, 2001 Examples of Raw Meals breakfast: granolas made with sprouted grains & dried fruits & soaked seeds & nuts, lemon-kefir pudding, fruit, " chocolate " pudding cereal, banana or cranberry cakes made with sprouted grains, dried fruit & soaked & dried seeds & nuts, cheesecake lunch (our main meal): sprouted lentils or mung beans with cheese and dressing.. various versions such as taco salad, garlic & dill, etc. or wild greens & cheese salads, sprouted grain crackers, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (we dehydrated peanut butter cookies and spread homemade raw jam in between them); kefir dinner (usually just a snack):.. fresh goat's milk, fruit, cheese, dehydrated cookies made from sprouted grains, soaked nuts, honey & sesame oil, crackers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I remember as a child I would have hideous rashes behind my knees as well as the inside of my arms and my hands. To top it off I went to a school where we had a dress code and had to wear skirts!! In high school I went on the diet of no sugar, fruit, yeasts and fungus for three months and my candida rashes that were almost always present went away. I would break out on my hands periodically from certain soaps and on my face when I tried the make-up thing... nothing like it used to be. These rashes would only last until I quit putting on my skin the culprit. I have noticed though, the exzema on my hands and arms have been back to haunt me lately. I have been wondering why this would be happening! I have been eating all sourdough breads and soaking most of my grains, no mushrooms, we do not overkill on sugar although I have been craving it and I may need some Chromium, and I eat lactofermented foods, not daily yet, but I had never eaten these before. The milk I drink is raw and organic, but a little grain fed. I had let my Villi culture die and I am now just getting into the habit of making this again, just took a short break this summer. I know candida has haunted me all my life, but is there any 'cure' for the candida overtake and causing all its ugly symptoms? Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. My 7yo son is always 'starved' and my daughters have never been finicky eaters as some little girls are. Breads, cooked meats, oatmeal ceareal etc fill their hungry tummies. Yeast loves sugar, whether it comes from fermented carbs or pure sugar. I try to limit my carbs to maybe one piece of bread daily or a half cup of grains.
