Guest guest
So glad you know it's good natured! Well, we are waiting to see what your brain cells came up with! Did you like the map I sent? Now everyone can figure out where everyone else is regarding time. My brain cells are so fried, I'm not quite sure what planet I'm on. Mike wrote: > > > > Ooooooh aren't we feisty today ! Guest guest
Nope - sorry - My daughter lives in Iowa (CST), and I live in Pennsylvania (EST), and she is only ONE hour behind me. Thus - when it is 9pm here on the Eastern side of the country, it is 8pm in the CST area, and 7pm in the Rockies (what we used to call RMT - Rocky Mountain time, when I lived there), and 6pm on the West Coast (Pacific standard time) Of course when daylight savings comes is then things *really* get confusing! LOL Anyway - I talk to my daughter a lot, so I know CST is only one hour behind us on the East Coast. Sure gets confusing tho, doesn't it. Especially when the fibro-fog moves in. 8~) Hope this helps. Gentle hugs ~ in PA > > Hi Lyn...yes you are right CST is central standard time and I'm over > here in NH so you are about 3 hours behind us I think. > Tammy > > CH>I think it is a three hour time difference. LOL ======= And to make things REAL interesting, AZ doesn't recognize daylight savings time. So part of the year they are 2 hours behind me (I'm in NY thus I'm in ET) and part of the year they are 3 hours behind me. And something that and I have to always remember is that in Germany and Austria where we have friends and family, they end their Daylight Savings Time before we do but, if I'm remembering correctly, they start it the same weekend we do. AAAAAARRGH! Then we have a friend in S. Korea and another in northern Japan... :-) CUL, Ruthie
Guest guest
Elementary teacher to the rescue: It it is 12:00 A.M. (EST) in New York, then it is 11:00 A.M.(CST) in Chicago, and, it is 10:00 A.M. (Mountain Time) in Denver, and, it is 9:00 A.M. (PST) in Los Angeles. Variations occur city by city because not all cities are officially in one particular time zone all year long. For example Bloomington, Indiana never changes its clocks so half the year it is on eastern time and half the year it is in on central time. ---------------------------------------------------- Reach me by ICQ. Guest guest
One of the funniest things I've experienced was to watch people drink once I gave it up. It was hilarious to watch them get drunk and then try to appear sober. Made me realize how ridiculous I must have looked. Watching you guys trying to sort this time thing out is just as funny ! Please keep going, I'm laughing my guts out over here ! Guest guest
Would you care to put this into a Canadian context and see if you can get it right ? ( obviously there's a catch or I wouldn't ask, would I ? ) Mike Re: Time Zones Elementary teacher to the rescue: It it is 12:00 A.M. Guest guest
: : :Ooooooh aren't we feisty today ! I suddenly feel some good natured teasing :coming on...if I could only think of something to say ! Maybe my 2 brain :cells will rub together during the night and come up with some ideas ! I THOUGHT I smelled something burning during the night. Did you come up with anything overnight? Hey, how can only 2 brain cells make that much smoke anyway?? Did the neighbors get irritated when they were awakened by the fire engines? Ruthie :-)
