I wonder if what I am experiencing fits the model so to speak of

cytokine activity causing problems.

Initially for about 10 days I did really well on 1000 mg

Erythromycin plus 400mg Plaquenil but then I started to get some

neuro symptoms and lack of energy which has got a lot worse and

after just over 2 weeks I feel inflammation throughout my body which

isn't normally there.

Yesterday I forced myself to go to a lovely warm pool and swam for

about 12 minutes (it was then I realised I had all this pain in my

muscles), then went in the jacuzzi for 5 minutes followed by 15

minutes in the sauna.

Initially in the sauna I felt quite unwell but was determined to sit

it out for a little longer because I know it usually does me good.

Indeed I was able to rest there for 15 minutes before having a cool

shower and went back in the pool to relax and swim very gently just

a little more. I was really surprised that all the pain that had

been there the first time when swimming had gone and I felt a lot

better in myself.

I finished off with the warm jacuzzi for another 5 minutes followed

by a warm shower and then rested with a cup of tea for about 3/4

hour feeling so much better but sweating profusely (my hair was

soaking wet just sitting and resting and I looked like a beetroot)!

The improvement went on for the rest of the day but my blood sugar

was poor and I was craving sweet stuff. This insulin resistance

problem also has got worse on this combo of abx at the moment though

I realise its really early days and when I took my fasting blood

sugar this morning it was the highest it has ever been and almost at

prediabetic levels. Therefore I know I have got to be a lot

stricter about low carb (also got a mild migraine this morning which

I haven't had for a couple of weeks).

To sum up it would appear that there is much more inflammation in my

body at the moment and this is affecting the glucose getting into

the cells. I probably had a similar pattern when on the Doxy but I

think it took a lot longer being on it before feeling like this.

Thanks for any explanations as to what is going on but I guess it is

those cytokines.

Pam
