Guest guest
It is true that if you aren't eating enough for your amount of exercise that you can gain weight. I suggest eating 5-6 small meals a day and you must eat breakfast. Keep up with the taebo though. I hope this helps a little. Jen
Guest guest
Hi BamBam! Your husband could be right. If your aren't eating enough of the right foods, your body could be holding onto everything you do eat..going into starvation mode. How many times a day are you eating, and are you getting enough protein to build muscle and compound carbs for energy? How often are you working out? Are you overdoing it? If you have a good balanced diet, and aren't over doing it with the exercise, then you might want to check this with a doctor. Baja Girl couldn't figure out why she wasn't losing in her waist, then found out she was pregnant. Moody Re: CAn anyone give me tips? Please explain to me how you lost weight???? If this is a major concern, and you aren't eating differently than before your started exercising, it is always a good idea to get checked over just to make sure you don't have something else going on other than a healthy muscle gain. As a self-protective mechanism, your metabolic rate SLOWS down within 1-2 days to save up on body mass and energy. Therefore, you will not lose weight and may in fact even experience weight gain. A possible solution is to (1) increase your food intake and eat sensibly, (2) drink lots of fluids/water, and (3) continue your consistent exercise. Guest guest
YES! The dietwatch journal is great. I was thinking I was eating *all* the time, but it turns out I wasn't even hitting 1200 calories a day, and they say men need more calories than women. So that is one of my major obstacles.....trying to eat more calories. That's something I never thought I would say! Poster Boy << I've heard that a woman needs to eat approximately 1200 cals a day in order to survive. Under that amount, you would go into starvation mode. You should really count the amount of calories you eat, you would be surprised. You can subscribe to a calorie counter online (actually it's more of a food journal) at http:/ /www.dietwatch.com . When I started counting calories a few months ago, I realized that I was eating 700-800 cals a day, no wonder I wasn't losing any weight! And I thought I was eating like a pig!!! When I started eating 1200 cals a day, I realized that I was feeling much more energetic and I started losing weight! If you eat a balanced diet with all food groups in appropriate amounts, I guarantee you that you will lose weight... >>

That we may need to eat more than we do to loose the weight. Take a good look at your calories and your amount of working out. Make sure you are eating enough to keep up with your activity. Guest guest
Hi Moody, I am eating (or was) eating once maybe twice a day. I have since changed that I eat three times a day now with vitamins!! I used to work out 7 days a week, then after muscle fatgie)sp) i only work out 3 to 4 times a week. You might wow but I was addicted to Taebo and love it so much I wanted to do it that much. I feel I do eat right foods, I asked my brother (he is a bodybuilder) and he said I was eating the correct food just not enough of it. so yes, I think I was starving my body but am trying to get back to where its is supposed to be. Thanks will let you know what happens. Bam Bam

Guest guest
Dear Moody, Yes, I had thought of that one, I drink mainly unsweented iced tea during workouts just ice water. I hardly ever drink sweeten stuff. I had noticed one thing I had high blood pressure a year ago and now its gone!! Was 140/99 (started when I was 35 now I am 42)so doing the Taebo since Feb has done something?BamBam

These things take time, you gotta be patient. Remember, never more than 1% of your body weight per week (which means usually about 1-2 pounds per week). Don't forget to drink lots of water (2 litres or 64 ounces a day), I call water a weight loss elixir!!!

My husband saw similar b\p resultsafter doing the workout for a while. If you don't mind, let'sstart at the beginning here. Can you tell us when you started, your activity level before starting, your weight, size, height, how your form is during the workout, collectively we should be able tofigure this out, especially now with 's book. I knowthis works, very well, I have seen it in myself and the hubby, and heard from alot of other people from the boards. This hasto work for you as well. Please don't get discouraged, and let'ssee what we can come up with. Girl, I want to see your pics onthe before and afters! If you don't have 's book yet, that would be a good place to start. This is going to workfor you, so keep on keeping on, and let's figure this out. Moody Click here!

Different people have different weight loss patterns. I chugged along for 5 months, losing at a decent rate, then hit the plateau from hell...no loss for 2 months. When it " broke " it broke big...I had an abrupt loss of 11 pounds from one week to the next. Go figure. Hang in there!

Bam Bam How long have you been eating healthy? And just how healthy is your diet really? Some of us *thought* we were eating right, but Dietwatch showed us that we actually weren't. Also, how long have you been doing TaeBo? All of this makes a difference. Tomorrow I will complete my 21dc, and I have a feeling I won't see any loss in inches or pounds. I'm already prepared to be disappointed in that respect. But I've seen this wonderful new tightness in my muscles, and I just know that if I continue with TaeBo (and get my diet under control), the fat *will* come off. -- Sandy wishing she were one of those people who can lose weight just by exercising and not changing her diet
