Guest guest
- starts - From Dr. Shepherd charlesbshepherd@...: Some very sad news. Professor Mina Behan died at her home in Glasgow on Saturday evening, March 19th. As many people already know, Mina had been seriously ill for the past three years with cancer. She finally had to retire from her professorial post in muscle pathology at the Western Infirmary in Glasgow last year. As a pathologist, Mina made a major contribution to the role of understanding muscle pathology in ME/CFS. She had also been carrying out research into the role of the blood-brain-barrier in the onset of ME/CFS. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that anyone else of her stature here in the UK will now be able or willing to persue this type of research. I understand from the family that there will be a Memorial Service in due course.
