Guest guest Posted April 4, 2005 Report Share Posted April 4, 2005 I have been watching an interesting documentary serious about the problems and challenges of the Amazon rain forest. It showed some indigenous tribes that have no contact outside the forest, these people seemed to look very well built and animal like in physique. Then there was one episode where they talked about babies being stolen from other races (white and black) and brought up as natives. They found a Scandinavian looking blond that was apparently the child of a western prospector who was stolen as a child by the natives and brought up as one of their own. These native people have great knowledge of plants and medicine. They all looked healthy, though the white blond looked like he was suffering with some disease like Crohn's or some other disease that resulted in weight loss. He was very skinny. I suspect that his immune system was in some way unable to naturally protect it self from the parasites and bacteria of the forest.... There is the theory that PTSD is one of the causes of our switch in immunity.
