Were you on any thing else when you took the dose of HCQ that gave

you tinnitis? And what dose was it?

Barb

PS - are you thinking of taking clarithromycin as a mono therapy for

Lyme?

The reason I am asking is that I couldn't tolerate the Plaquenil

last time I tried to take it. I got severe tinnitus from the first

dose and it seemed to affect my CNS badly making me feel quite dizzy

and anxious. Therefore I really want to do without it if I can and

just take the Biaxin.

Hi Barb

No I wasn't taking anything else at all and that is how I know it

was the Plaquenil. Also it was only half a standard tablet that I

took (100 mg I believe) and I noticed the tinnitus came on very

quickly.

Yes it was to be a mono therapy but with lots of supplements and

maybe Samento to get the borrelia load down (not sure it can be

eradicated) (stuff like Bromelain and Quercertin). BTW I am only

on my 2nd day of Erthyromycin 1000 mg and already I am feeling so

much better, was able to swim for 20 minutes non stop this morning

plus I went in the Sauna twice each time for around 12 minutes and 5

minutes x 2 of a jacuzzi. No tiredness after and able to have a

good 20 minutes walk with my dog this afternoon after a rest. Also

I am not aching the way I have been these past few weeks and

generally feel much better.

I have also been taking a good source of chlorella, plus the

Bromelain and Quercetin with the Erythromycin.
