Guest guest
To Ruthie and Lyn (along with many others I'm sure), One of the things I have found at my local Fred Meyer store (grocery and dept. store) is some Melatonin tablets that are only 500 mcg. and they also are small, chewable peppermint flavored pills that only cost about $5 for 100 of them. The brand I have is called Nutrition Now, I think a general generic, just make sure they don't use any yeast or fillers in them. I take Nortriptyline to help me sleep longer and better, but my problem is *getting to sleep* in the first place, one or two of these at bedtime and next thing I know it is morning! I had run out and finally got some more this wkend and I am already starting to feel better. The thing about the pain meds, Lyn, may be something you want to talk to your dr about, you may need some changing, everyone acts differently when you get a reaction, mine was anxiety attacks that have left me taking Xanax (for months now) occasionally to keep from having the full blown, call the medics attack! I went to my doc immediately and he changed my muscle relaxer, my pain med and the Zantac I was taking (also had hives running down my arms, face and upper chest). I have small spells occasionally (when stressed) that seems to be left over from that. Keep in touch with your doc first about it, then please keep us informed, there is NO reason for you to be so foggy from the meds. Take care all, gotta' get back on the ice, Cheryl V. :>)
Guest guest
Thanks Cheryl, it seems to be fading now, I mean I am less foggy. I think it was lack of sleep. What a strange experience. Thanks for the info on melatonin too...I have some friends asking about it, and now I can tell them!
