Wait a minute. I'm getting my abx mixed up. Is it Clarithromycin or

Clindamycin that's being recommended on the MP now?

Errr, disregard what I've said about Clarithromycin. I was thinking

Clindamycin. I'm not that familiar with Clarithromycin.

Geez, this is the second abx I've done this with. Cephalosporin and

Chephazolin, and now Clarithromycin and Clindamycin. Totally

different drugs.

Seems they could at least get more inventive with the names, but I

think maybe they like keeping us confused. :-).

Penny, I was getting these two mixed up as well. Maybe it was even me

that mixed you up. Sorry! It's hard to keep the two names for each drug

straight too. Biaxin is clarithromycin. Does clindamycin have another

name or only generic?

As for your other mixup, aren't many drugs cephalosporins?

I forgot to answer the question! It's Clindamycin that's being used on

the MP.

Yes, I think cephalosporins cover a number of sub drugs. Whereas

cephazolin is one of a kind.
