Guest guest
As promised, I'm giving my update on Acetyl-l-Carnitine-Arginate here. We've been using this product (Life Extension brand) for approximately 3 weeks now. My son, although low in carnitine, generally has not tolerated carnitine very well in the past. Prior to starting I had my husband do NAET for this supplement and I started with a very small dose. Currently I'm giving approximately 1/4 capsule. The only other new thing that has been added is the lipo-glutathione which we started in November. We are not currently chelating. I've only noticed a couple of changes within the past 3 weeks: Positives - Someone brought into the house a Little Tikes ride on toy and both kids have enjoyed riding it down the hall. Our son has been interacting much more appropriately with his sister, taking turns with her (we've also worked on turn taking with board games which may have helped this), pushing her down the hall when it's her turn, etc. I've also noticed that his language is much more direct and appropriate with her. Rather than getting angry and pushing her away as he would in the past, he is much more likely to say to her " No, don't sit on me " , " No, I'm using that, leave it alone " , " Don't push me " . I asked my husband this afternoon if he had noticed this change and he said he had noticed it as well. Negatives - Verbal and visual stimming is up. I'm thinking it may be due to gut bugs possibly caused by lipo-glut(?). I also saw him drag his head down the hall around day 2, which is a behavior that I've only seen before when starting Carnitor. We're going to continue this product to see if the appropriate interactions with his sister continue. I have not noticed any change in his muscle tone. Santa splurged on a Power Pumper and he has been able to give his sister a couple of rides around the elementary school parking lot on it before giving out. Guest guest
Vicki, I'm glad you're seeing some positives. Our daughter started Carnitor about a month ago and I noticed that I needed to give it in small doses throughout the day. Her seizures aren't much better. She's being tested for Fatty Oxidation Disorder. I know that Carnitor is one of the medicines given to children who have symptoms of it. I may try the Acetyl-L-Carnitine-Arginate. Keep me posted on your son's progress. Shari Acetyl-L-Carnitine-Arginate/3 WEEK UPDATE As promised, I'm giving my update on Acetyl-l-Carnitine-Arginate here. Guest guest
Chelsey is taking 4 capsules every morning (almost 11, 90#) and Jack and I take 4 every morning also. None of us have noted any reaction to it good or bad so far. Dr. JM Acetyl-L-Carnitine-Arginate/3 WEEK UPDATE > > > As promised, I'm giving my update on Acetyl-l-Carnitine-Arginate > here.
