Actually, heh, I couldnt find much of interest in these articles. I

did find out that " a proportion of cell-associated H. pylori enter

large cytoplasmic vacuoles, where they remain viable and motile and

can survive lethal concentrations of extracellular

gentamicin. " (PMID 12366404)

Checking into the latter drug I found a reference to " penicillin G

and gentamicin [refs], which remain largely extracellular " - a

statement I think some sources would dispute. But much more

interesting was " In 1916 Rouss and showed that living, but not

dead, phagocytes could protect microbes from killing by antiserum

and potassium cyanide. " GOOD MORNING, that got my attention. This is

a possibly very important clue on the " antimicrobials question. "
