This would be surprising, considering the anti-HCQ crusade (due to possible eye damage). I had to really overcome a lot of fear to let my son go on HCQ with Zithromax. But I do trust our Lyme pediatrician to know what is and isn't too risky. Also, our eye doctors didn't seem surprised to be asked to monitor the situation at all, as they get asked to do this for many with RA. - Kate D.
